The 9th Annual Summit began with a VIP Tour of the Port of Burns Harbor (Ports of Indiana) on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Port Director Ian Hirt showcased five, new, fully funded projects that will considerably increase efficiency and productivity. Following the tour, we hosted a VIP Reception and Gourmet Dinner with five presentations of privileged information, three news announcements, and a spotlight on breaking news.
The program on May 9th included 10 Keynote Speakers, the Diolkos Award, and two Breakout Sessions. The Diolkos Award was presented to Patrick J. Ottensmeyer, President and CEO of Kansas City Southern Railroad, for his outstanding commitment to supporting Free Trade and the Ratification of USMCA and his life-long personal and financial contributions to charities that improve the health and well-being of others.
